We strive to address the barriers that prevent people with a disability from fully participating in the Blue Mountains community.
Accessible Adult Change Facility
Accessible Adult Change Facilities are toilets and change facilities that cater for users with high support needs and their carers where they require additional space, assistance and specialised equipment to allow them to use toilets safely and comfortably.
The hoist and change facilities are available to all members of the public.
In the Blue Mountains we have four accessible change spaces, the location of facilities are mentioned below and can also be located on The National Public Toilet Map
Location: Katoomba, Echo Point Visitor Information Centre (Cliff Drive, Echo Point)
Hours of operation: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm and Saturday and Sunday 9am to 5pm, including public holidays.
Blue Mountains Cultural Centre
Location: Katoomba, Cultural Centre Building Parke Street, Katoomba. Also known as Town Centre Arcade, Froma Lane
Hours of operation: Monday to Friday 10am till 5pm and Weekends 10am till 4pm
There is an Accessible Adult Change Facility located on the top floor of this building. There is a lift from the underground car park to the top floor
Blue Mountains Theatre & Community Hub
Location: Springwood, Macquarie Road
Hours of operation: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm and Saturday 9am to 4pm
Blue Mountains Theatre & Hub in Springwood.
The facility is located on the ground floor in the unisex accessible toilet.
Location: Glenbrook, 20-28 Parke Street
Hours of operation: 9am to 5pm

Accessible toilets that are fitted with an MLAK key are open during daylight hours from 7am to 5pm. After 5pm they are locked to maintain their cleanliness and safety for the convenience of patrons. With a MLAK key they can be opened after hours.
If you find yourself in this situation where the Accessible Adult Change Facilities are locked please call Blue Mountain City Council Tel. 4780 5000 for the upper Blue Mountains and 4723 5000 for the lower Blue Mountains and Council will endeavour to re-open the facility
