NSW Government requirements for face masks in Greater Sydney (including the Blue Mountains) changed on 29 January, 2021.
Masks are recommended but no longer compulsory in Council facilities where goods and services are provided directly to members of the public. This includes:
- Council Customer Service and Service NSW centre (Katoomba)
- Leisure and Aquatic Centres
- Visitor Information Centres
- Blue Mountains Cultural Centre
- Blue Mountains Theatre and Hub

Council is providing reusable face masks to those in vulnerable and at risk groups in the community. The face masks will be available and delivered to the doors of households that meet the criteria of the program. Click here for more information.
