From 19 July 2019, areas of older housing, formerly protected as Period Housing Areas, are protected as heritage conservation areas. The Period Housing provisions of the LEP no longer apply, and the new heritage conservation areas are managed by Clause 5.10 of LEP 2015.
The new heritage conservation areas are listed below. The boundary and inclusions for each heritage conservation area are defined by the accompanying map, and the reasons for listing explained in the heritage inventory sheet for each area.
