Blue Mountains Visitor Information Centre - Echo Point, Katoomba
Echo Point Road, Katoomba
Our Visitor Information Centre at Katoomba is nestled in the Echo Point precinct - the home of the world famous Three Sisters.
Follow the blue and yellow accredited 'i' signs from the main township of Katoomba heading south to Echo Point. You'll know you have arrived when you are captivated by the panoramic vista that surrounds you, with the pinnacle being the Three Sisters.
Echo Point lookout is on the traditional land of the Gundungurra and Darug People. Perched on the edge of the escarpment, it has gorgeous views of the Jamison Valley. The lookout is the gateway to many great walks, from the easy pathway that leads out to the Three Sisters to the more challenging Giant Stairway which leads you down almost 1,000 stairs to the valley floor.
Please note: Part of the Echo Point Lookout is closed until August 2020, while the Echo Point visitor precinct is being upgraded – for details visit bmcc.nsw.gov.au/echo-point. The Visitor Information Centre remains open daily, 9am to 5pm, seven days a week (except on Christmas Day).
